Hi,

My name is Aron Gergely¹ and I am a freelance software developer.

Through my consulting company, Rasterra, I have been helping companies run analytics on geospatial data since 2016.

I specialize in developing data processing pipelines for satellite imagery, weather forecasts, and other data that can be represented as matrices or so called rasters in RS/GIS jargon.

While I am based in the Netherlands I work globally. My clients are private companies, ESA-backed startups, NGOs and intergovernmental organizations.

I care about topics such as the environment, climate & weather, renewable energy, disaster response and ethical entrepreneurship.

I am also an avid open source contributor. Meaningful open source technology has helped me (and my clients) create better solutions, and I enjoy being a part of it.
